Tomorrow's War meets Battletech: House Kurita's "Atlas" and "Hatamoto Chi" finished

Ok, just like I said - the last pics in my other two blog entries were "work in progress". They were, cause I had no access to the necessary decals to finish the two Mechs entirely. Thanks to Ennis A. I got a whole decal sheet of "1st Sword Of Light" emblems in the mail today, and the Atlas and Hatamote Chi can now be considered DONE!
The Atlas also received a large scale Kurita crest for his giant torso armor. Somehow I figured something was missing for the commanding officer's Mech... the large dragon emblem fills the blanks nicely.
The "1st Sword Of Light" traditionally fields a white dragon emblem on their Kurita crest and bear those on the left shoulder: Hatamoto Chi and Atlas with their "ivory dragon" emblems. Thanks, Ennis!

  1. You've come up trumps there - they both look fantastic. What does the Japanese text say?

On the back of your work I've ordered some Samurai from Zvezda to get the banners, I have two Dragons and a Zeus that are waiting for their 7th Ghost regiment paint job. Just need to decide if one of my Museum scale Madcats will join the lance too.

  2. @Rubixcube: its a "famous slogan / war cry" according to a producer of flags for samurai wargaming figures. Don't know the exact meaning and it really doesn't bother me as long as it looks good on the table. :-D

  3. Chris - I've been meaning to ask - how high is the museum scale Atlas? I have found a supplier in the UK so may round off my lance with one of those.

  4. Not taking back-banner and dome-shaped base in consideration, the miniature is 9cm tall (measuring from feet to satellite dish on its head). But I add plastic sheet to all of my Mechs to gain height, so in this case without sheet, the Mech should turn out to be around 8,7cm tall.
