The Dragon Rises: Hongdu Q-5 "Fantan" - finished

"Fantan" and base finished
ready to fly CAS missions, using guns, rockets and two FAB-250 bombs to support ground troops
The aircraft is held in place by a strong magnet. The base can be adjusted in height.

The long painting war continues. :-D

Hi Chris,

I stumbled upon your wargaming blog just the other day and was happily surpriced to read your posts about your planned Battle For Skira campaign.
I’m curious, what is the status on that project now?
Did you manage to make a full campaign of it?

I'd love it if you would be so kind to shed some light on this project as I am trying to make my own version of the same game (although the one I'm making is for a chits and counters wargame). I myself got hold of the Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Player Strategy Guide for just $0.5 and it has proved to be a real good reference source.

Anyhow, very good job and I like your models a lot! Every time I come across miniature wargame blogs such as yours I curse my lack of patience required to learn how to sculpt and paint…

Best wishes
Håkan

@Håkan

Unfortunately the project didn't progress any further then what you can find on the blog. I still have everything I did so far, but there are so many things I'd like to do and so I quite often get distracted from one project. I am constantly working on something and it takes me ages to get things done, but done they'll be one day - I promise.
